Following the guidelines, write an acrostic poem using the word October.

Or maybe you can write a seven sentence story set in October where each entence begins with the letters that make up October.

Oliver gazed out of the window. Clouds scudded across the sky in different shades of grey. The temperature had drooped noticeably. Only last week it had been sunny and quite warm, but now he was wearing a fleece and hoping his parents would soon put the heating on.
Biting the inside of his cheek, he considered his options. Either he could go downstairs and risk being asked to entertain his little brother, or he could make a start on his homework so at least the evening would be free. Reluctantly, he reached for his school bag and pulled out his maths books.
