This blog started as a bit of an experiment.

It’s reached the time when we need to review it. We need to ask ourselves and others lots of questions. If you follow our blog, and we know that people do who often don’t comment, we want your opinions. We want to know what posts and topics you have enjoyed, what things have made you come back.

  • what has been good?
  • what would we like to keep?
  • what might we do differently?
  • what would we like to change?
  • how could we make you feel more involved?
  • have you told anyone else about our blog?
  • if you have  contributed to the blog, what have you enjoyed about it?
  • what have you learned through doing it?
  • do you think we should carry on?
  • has it been useful and/or interesting to see other people’s posts and to be able to comment on them and to read other people’s comments?
  • do you think the feedback helps to improve your writing?  Do your friends and family read your posts?

If you have anything you want to say, please either write a post about it – if you don’t have author status and are not coming to the classroom you can email it to the office address  office@evelina.southwark.sch.uk,  or write a comment here.

We’d like to hear from you as quickly as possible so we can share what you say with the rest of the staff on 9th july.

  3. ROH says:

What I like most about the blog is that it lets us express our selfs in diferent ways. wever it be by using different styles of writing like informative , chatty…. or righting about diferent things like persanol experience, news, school work….. we get to comment on other peoples work and it also gives us a chance to get feedback from people not from theschool. All in all it is a great idear and I think it has loads of room to grow

    • evelinasec says:

Good constructive comments ROH. 🙂 I’ve passed these to Manuela for her headteacher’s report to governors.
Have you any ideas in particular of how you would like it to develop?

I really like reading other people’s work and have a laugh on the blog I also really would like to have a rating were you can have stars as well as commenting so you can click what rating you would give the person but I have really enjoyed to see how much effort people have put in to it to make it son much better and we have a lot more work to do on it but it is all going really well at the moment so thank you too every one who has joined in to make it better 🙂

    • evelinasec says:

This is a well thought out comment JC. 8)
Sa you know, we had our reservations about a rating system, but you can always make it clear in your comments that you think someone has put up a good post. In fact, you are getting better and better at doing that. You could also add smileys to show you really rated something, or gold stars maybe.
      What do you think?

  5. j.c says:

Also I think we should have some games for people to play too xx

  6. Aleunam says:

I have loved watching the development of this blog and seeing the changes you have made to it’s external appearance as well as reading the articles, poems, political comments you have all contributed to it. It is a truly dynamic blog, with contributions from a range of secondary students. I love reading the pieces of work written using pseudonyms work and trying to guess who has written it – sometimes I get it right, but not always. As my memory fails me more and more as I get older (and wiser), I am always grateful when the students remind me to have a look at what’s been added.
    Keep up the good work!

I agree with you; I think our pupils, both long and short term, have developed the blog in ways we could not have imagined at the start.
I am extremely proud of everything they have achieved and hope they will continue to contribute posts and comments, via email perhaps, even when they are no longer on roll.
