After Easter, pupils and staff across the Evelina Hospital School will be working on a project with the Globe Theatre.

So, what better way to prepare ourselves than a short quiz!

No answers will be be revealed until the Friday after term starts, 23rd April.

So, fingers on the buzzers, here we go.

1. Where in London is Shakepeare’s Globe Theatre?

2. What was Shakepeare’s first name?

3. What shape is the Globe?

4. True or false – in Shakespeare’s day, women were not allowed to be actors.

5. Different flags were used to advertise what type of play was being performed at the Globe. What colour  flag was used to advertise a comedy?

6. Which or these plays is not by Shakespeare:

 Othello

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

WarHorse

As You Like It

7. In which year did the original Globe Theatre burn down?

8. How soon was it rebuilt?

9. Which American actor was the inspiration for rebuilding the new Globe Theatre?

10. When did it open?

In the event of a tie, the winner will be the person who has made the most words (no proper nouns or plurals) of three letters or more from SHAKESPEARE.

Good luck!
